The peach emoji π is a fruit, but in messages it is very often slang for someone's bum. When a guy sends it, the words around it tell you whether he means fruit, a compliment or something flirty.
What does the peach emoji mean?
- The fruit. Peaches, peach cobbler, summer and anything peach-coloured. If the message is about food or a recipe, that's all it is.
- A bum. This is the top-rated meaning on our peach page, and it is why the emoji has a cheeky reputation. The shape is the reason.
- A compliment on someone's body. Phrases like "nice π" are about looks, and usually flirty.
- Sweet and cute. Sometimes it just stands for something sweet, as in "you're a peach".
What does it mean when a guy sends you a peach emoji?
It depends on the conversation:
- After a photo of you or a compliment, it is usually flirting or a comment on your looks.
- In a chat about food or plans, it is about the fruit.
- With a smirk π or the eggplant π, it is almost always suggestive.
- From a friend, joking, it is often just banter.
If you aren't sure, you can ask what they mean. If it makes you uncomfortable, you don't have to reply.
Is it safe to use at work or with family?
Use it only for actual fruit in those places. Because so many people read π as a bum, it can be taken the wrong way in a professional chat.
